In documenting my journey to "Build A Better Rick" there are some things I need to disclose to make sure this journey is authentic.
1. I already do some of the things that are on my list of 10 things to do daily.
A. I go to the gym regularly. I am already past the major sore phase that occurs in everyone's return to the gym. I do still get sore, but not the massive soreness that usually takes 7-10 days to overcome.
B. I have a therapist, she recommended trying to start some of these habits before my start date so it isn't a total shock to my system all at once.
- I wake up at 6 am somedays, but not everyday.
-I drink lots of water but I don't track it.
-I have started reading, just not everyday.
- I have tried to start celebrating/acknowledging every time I do one of the 10 things.
C. To talk to God, I consider myself a "Jesus Follower". I don't call myself a Christian anymore, I call myself a Jesus follower, but I also like the term "Higher Power".
D. When I say school, I am in a Masters program. I have roughly 9 more months in the program. So when I say give my best effort in school, that is what I am referring to.
E. The dog in the photo is Bear. He is very affectionate, sometimes too affectionate because he doesn't realize he is 70 pounds, but still wants to be a lap dog. He loves to say "Hi" to anyone and everyone but he doesn't realize that he is a breed that can intimidate some people. I love him though, he is a good boy!!!
