Panic Attack

So I had a panic attack.  I have had very few of these in my life, maybe this was my third or fourth.  I think because of this, I didn't recognize it as early as I could have and potentially prevent it from becoming a full blown panic attack.

Once I recognized what it was, I immediately texted my therapist for advice on what to do.  She advised me to try and get grounded, take deep breaths and feel my surroundings.

What worked best for me was to lay down on a bed, take deep breaths, put my air pods in and listen to a specific song on repeat.  It took about 20 minutes for my body to calm.

I took a video to remind myself of what to do and to show what I had to do to get through it.  This is simply what the experience looked like for me.
